Client Quote #41: back to self

After 2 years of seeing this young client, they were able to enter remission for the first time and fingers crossed on their way to recovery. This was a quote from their caregiver, who was baffled at the change in personality ED brought to the client. The client was described as bubbly, full of interests in arts, and had a fairly healthy social life. In the depth of their ED, the client became sullen, fatigued, isolated. They lost their passion and interests, became apathetic towards themselves and others. Their world was just the ED and everything else took up less and less space. 

Through pushing for consistent intake, challenging variety and a commitment to therapy, they were able to weight restore and along with weight, their personality began to resurface. When we fuel, we come alive again.
